Geography

At Yaxham we want our children to be inspired about geography, feeling a sense of curiosity and fascination about the world and its people. We provide children with the confidence to discuss diverse places, people, resources, environments, as well as the ability to articulate the deep understanding of the Earth’s key physical and human processes.

We provide the children with relevant facts and skills they need to become global citizens by exploring their own place in the world, their values and responsibilities to themselves, others and the environment around them. Every classroom has a world map that provides opportunities for geographical learning across the curriculum.

We assess how the achievement of our aims through attainment, improved standards, attitudes to learning and tailored assessment.
